How do you get your teenager to work for you? Pay them.
But make sure you are paying for the right job, it seems like I’m doing more dishes while she is getting paid to Craft, hmmm.
I think I should rethink this cooperation.
But honestly, it fills my heart to the point of breaking just a little bit. I guess that’s why our teachers say, things are designed to break, it’s in the fixing we become a little more perfect, a little more who we want to be.
I grew up working with my parents in the antique business and handmade crafts. (here is the heartbreak part) It was my mother’s dream that someday we would have a cottage industry, three generations strong. She passed away several years ago still I know she feels the joy with this new relationship growing between me and My eldest daughter.
As we are learning to work together in new ways, we are becoming closer, with the aha’ moments of anew business and meeting my little girl as a young woman, is so rich, so sweet.
I Bless us all to learn to work with old friends in new ways…. Much Love
